Dr. Emily Hrisomalos and our facial plastic surgery practice were recently featured in two issues of Stroll Magazine, highlighting our patient-centered philosophy, specialized focus on facial care, and collaborative team approach to surgical and non-surgical aesthetic treatments.
We are honored to share that our double board-certified facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Emily Hrisomalos, and our Advanced Medical Aesthetician, Susan Barnes, have been featured in two recent issues of Stroll Magazine’s Holliday Farms edition—a meaningful recognition that reflects the heart of our practice, the strength of our team, and the deep connection Dr. Hrisomalos has with the Zionsville and Indianapolis communities.
The first feature appeared in the June 2025 issue, shining a spotlight on Dr. Hrisomalos herself, her background, and the philosophy behind her boutique facial plastic surgery practice. The second, published in November 2025, focused on the growth of our non-surgical aesthetics department and the collaborative care model that supports patients before, during, and after treatment. Together, these stories offer a well-rounded look at how our practice makes expertise, compassion, and thoughtful personalization prominent hallmarks of the treatment experience.
Stroll Magazine is a neighborhood-focused publication designed to build genuine connections between residents and the local professionals who serve them. Rather than traditional advertising, Stroll emphasizes storytelling and sharing the experiences, values, and motivations behind small businesses, medical practices, and community leaders. A feature in Stroll Magazine reflects not only professional excellence, but also a trusted presence within the community.
A Boutique Practice Dedicated to the Face
The June 2025 feature by Karli Nunez highlighted what makes our services unique: we are a sub-specialized practice devoted exclusively to the face and neck. This focused approach allows for an exceptional level of precision, artistry, and attention to detail—whether patients are seeking facial plastic surgery for cosmetic rejuvenation or reconstructive care, or if they are interested in non-surgical/minimally invasive aesthetic treatments. The feature also delved into Dr. Hrisomalos’ history as an Indiana native and her outreach to the local community.
Dr. Hrisomalos has board certifications from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. She also completed advanced fellowship training under internationally recognized facial plastic surgeons. After years of training outside of Indiana, Dr. Hrisomalos returned home to build the kind of practice she always envisioned—one where patients feel truly heard, supported, and respected throughout a process that is deeply personal.
Compassion at the Core of Care
A recurring theme in both Stroll Magazine features is compassion. From the initial consultation through recovery and long-term follow-up care, Dr. Hrisomalos and her team prioritize education, transparency, and emotional support. Patients are never rushed, and treatment recommendations are grounded in what is truly appropriate for each individual.
The practice environment is intentionally calm and welcoming, allowing patients to feel comfortable asking questions and exploring options at their own pace. This emphasis on trust and communication plays a central role in helping patients feel confident in their decisions.
A Team-Based Approach to Facial Aesthetics
The November 2025 Stroll feature expanded on this philosophy by highlighting the role of the aesthetics department and the importance of collaboration. Advanced Medical Aesthetician Susan Barnes brings decades of experience in medical aesthetics, lasers, and skincare, complementing Dr. Hrisomalos’ surgical expertise.
Together, they design customized treatment plans that may combine surgical procedures with non-surgical treatments and medical-grade skincare. This integrated approach helps many patients achieve natural, balanced results while supporting skin health before and after surgery.
The aesthetics component of our practice offers a range of services, including professional facials, chemical peels, microneedling with radiofrequency, BroadBand Light therapy (BBL), laser treatments, acne and scar solutions, and personalized skincare guidance. These options allow patients to address concerns at every stage, whether they are preparing for surgery, maintaining results, or simply investing in healthier skin.
Thoughtful Growth, Responsible Innovation
Another key message shared in the Stroll articles is our practice’s careful approach to new technology. Rather than adopting every new trend, Dr. Hrisomalos and her team evaluate treatments based on safety, clinical research, and long-term effectiveness. This can ensure patients receive care that is both evidence-based and aligned with their best interests.
Rooted in the Zionsville Community
Beyond the treatment room, Dr. Hrisomalos remains deeply connected to the community she serves. A lifelong Indiana resident, she lives in Zionsville with her husband and is actively involved in local organizations and partnerships. This sense of community is woven into our practice’s culture, reinforcing the relationships built with patients and neighbors alike.
A Meaningful Recognition
Being featured twice in Stroll Magazine is a meaningful milestone that reflects the values at the heart of our practice: meticulous care, collaborative expertise, and genuine compassion. Whether patients are seeking facial rejuvenation, reconstructive surgery, or non-surgical aesthetic treatments, we remain committed to delivering thoughtful, personalized care every step of the way.
